Coupling analysis of passenger and train flows for a large-scale urban rail transit system

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2023, Volume 10, Issue 2,   Pages 250-261 doi: 10.1007/s42524-021-0180-2

Abstract: is an important approach in evaluating and optimizing the operation efficiency of large-scale urban railtransit (URT) systems.study proposes a passenger–train interaction simulation approach to determine the coupling relationship betweenits potential application are demonstrated via numerical experiments using real-world data from the BeijingURT system (i.e., rail network with the world’s highest passenger ridership).

Energy-saving operation approaches for urban rail transit systems

Ziyou GAO, Lixing YANG

Frontiers of Engineering Management 2019, Volume 6, Issue 2,   Pages 139-151 doi: 10.1007/s42524-019-0030-7

Abstract: Developing public urban rail transit systems is an indispensable approach to overcome these problems. However, the high energy consumption of daily operations is an emerging issue due to increased rail transitThis work systematically introduces energy-saving approaches for urban rail transit systems in threedirections in this field are also proposed to meet increasing passenger demands and network-based urban railtransit systems.

Dynamic analysis of rail transit elevated bridge with ladder track

He XIA, Yushu DENG, Yongwei ZOU, Guido DE ROECK, Geert DEGRANDE

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2009, Volume 3, Issue 1,   Pages 2-8 doi: 10.1007/s11709-009-0001-x

Abstract: In this paper, a dynamic analysis model of an elevated bridge with ladder tracks under moving train load is established. The whole process of a train running through an elevated bridge at different speeds is simulated. The dynamic responses of the elevated bridge with ladder track and the running safety and comfort index of train vehicles are evaluated. Compared with the dynamic responses of an elevated bridge with ordinary non-ballasted slab track, the ladder track’s effect on reducing the vibration of an elevated bridge is analyzed. The analysis results show that the ladder track has good vibration reduction characteristics as compared to ordinary non-ballasted track.
